COPA JALISCO   Pro – Am  2012

C O N V O C A T O R I A

The Jalisco state government through the Ministry of Tourism and the organizing committee of the tournament, calls for Mexican and foreign golfers, professionals and amateurs to participate in the 18th Annual Tournament Jalisco International Pro Am Cup which will take place from 6 to February 11, 2012 at the Club de Golf Santa Anita, Guadalajara, Jal. Mexico, according to the following:

B A S E S

I.                    Participants

I.1.- Acceptance. Participants will be subject to acceptance of the Committee which may refuse or revoke registration with the sole obligation to reimburse registration fee at any time before start of the competition. Participants agree to accept the terms of the following rules and regulations.

I.2.- Limit. Enrollment is limited to 64 teams of two golfers.

II.                  Conditions of Competition

The tournament will be governed by the USGA Rules adopted by the FMG, the local course and the rules established for the competition, any doubt in its interpretation or unforeseen situations will be resolved by the Judge or Judges designated by the Committee, whose names will be published in the official information bullettin board and its decisions are final and without appeal.

II.1.- Game Format. The competition will be played with teams of two players under the "Low Ball" , "Match Play" system.  Amateurs Players will  play with 100% Handicap.

II.2.- Teams. Teams may be composed of any of the following combinations:
1. A professional player who played with 0 (zero) handicap and an amateur with a handicap of 4 to 11.
2. Two amateur players, one will play with 0 (zero) handicap and an amatuer with a handicap of 4 to 11.

II.3.- Tee Marks.

II.4.- Tee Times. Will be assigned by "drawing" and published in the official competition bulletin board, players must start their round at the designated time. It is the duty of participants to be prepared to turn out, otherwise shall be punished according to what is stated in Rule 6-3 Time of Starting and Groups. If the team reaches the tee box, ready to play, five minutes after its departure time, it will receive a penalty of loss of the first hole. 

          II.4.1.- If a player is late for tee off, he can reach his partner and start his game but the team score for the holes not played will be the net score realized by his partner for those holes..

          II.4.2.- In the case of a team (both players) is not present within 5 minutes of the designated  tee time of departure the team will be disqualified.

II.5.- Pace of Play. Players must play without undue delay and according to the rhythm of play established by the Committee The slow play will be punished according to the rules. Rule 6-7.

II.6.- Suspension of the Game.  The Committee may suspend any round when it considers  that the conditions of play and security are not adequate.

II.7.- Scores. Must be signed by players indicating the winner of the match and must be delivered to the comitee table at the end of the match.

II.8.- Ties. In case of ties, the tie is broken by sudden death, starting on any hole designated by the Committee. Rule 33-6.

          II.8.1.- Consolation. For determination of the winner in the Consolation Tournament the comitee will apply the procedure outlined in the Rules in Appendix I, Section C Conditions of Competition.
II.9.- Claims.  In the case of a dispute or doubt between teams, a team can file a claim under the provisions of Rule 2-5
. Doubt as to Procedure; Disputes and Claims.

II.10.- Disqualification. The organizing committee according to Rule 33-7. Can expell or suspend a player from future events if the player engages in conduct detrimental to the integrity and image of the event. Such practices may include, but is not limited to damage to the golf course or the player's equipment, verbal or physical abuse to players, spectators, officials, volunteers or staff, flagrant or excessive profanity, disorderly conduct, or other misconduct.

          II.10.1.- In case of disqualification for absence or delay, the player is entitled to the awards gained before his disqualification.

          II.10.2.- Any false information about the Amateur Player Handicap, the team will be disqualified and will not be eligible for awards.

II.11.- Transportation. Participants may use motorized golf carts.

II.12.- Clothing. Players can not use shorts, jeans, nor cowboy type or sleeveless shirts or shirts whitout collar. The use of golf shirts with Mok type collars will be allowed.

III.                Awards

III.1.- The winning couples will receive the corresponding prize according to their final position in the results table as follows:

                1st Place: Trophy Cup Jalisco and prize of $ 500,000.M.N.

                 2nd Place: Prize of $ 250,000.M.N.

                 Semifinalists: Prize of $ 60,000.M.N.

                 Quarter Finals: Prize of $ 30,000.M.N.

                 3rd round: Prize of $ 15,000.M.N.

                 4th round: Prize of $ 7,500.M.N.

                 Consolación Tounament: $ 50,000.M.N.

IV.               Registration

IV.1.- All Teams must complete an enrollment application in the oficial website or in www.chingolf.com.

IV.2.- Incomplete applications or without required information NOT be considered.

IV.3.- The registration fee is $ 15,000. per player, ($ 30,000 for "Team"), and payment must be made by "Equipment.".

IV.4.- Entry Deadline: The deadline for receiving applications is January 15, 2012 at 11:00 PM. Or earlier if quota of 128 teams is completed. Application will be considered according to the record registration and payment date.

Late applications or paid after the registration deadline will be automatically rejected, leaving to the discretion of the Organizing Committee acceptance and approval. The risk of delay or error in sending the request is the responsibility of the participating teams, the Committee shall have no liability in respect of any delay or failure in receiving the application and its consequences, including denial of registration.

IV.5.- It will be required to be registered in the tournament, send to the organizing committee proof of payment (deposit slip - transfer) as well as proof of handicap, with the names of the participants before the close of entries.

IV.6.- Cancellations. In case of cancellation, there will be NO refund.

V.                 Social Events

V.1.- Sweepstakes. On February 5, there will be a welcoming cocktail where a drawing will be held  for designation of tee times and position groupings.

V.2.- Awards ceremony. Will be immediately after the last match (Final) in the place designated by the Committee.

V.3.- Awards Dinner. Only winners will attend. The time and place will be notified.

VI.               Others

VI.1.- Advertising, Promotion and Difussion.: The comitte will have the autority to use the  names, likeness, voice and / or references to photographs in publicity related to the event.         

          VI.1.1.- The organizing committee can use the rights granted to the promotion and / or commemoration of Jalisco Cup or future events, as well as to promote the event in the press, radio, television, Internet or any other publicity or extracts thereof, in any media worldwide now known or hereafter developed for the design, manufacture and sale of commemorative merchandise Jalisco Cup or future events throughout the world.

 

GOLF COMMITTEE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MAKE CHANGES CONSIDERED RELEVANT TO THE IMPROVMENT OF THE TOURNAMENT.
